McIlwaine Park Foreshore

Work Details

Description:

Proudly funded by the NSW Government, this transformation provides visitors with easier access to Parramatta River for water fun and introduces new green spaces, recreation amenities, and environmental benefits.

Glascott Landscape and Civil worked closely with City of Canada Bay and Environmental Partnership to bring this project to life. The park contributes to improving the health of the bay by providing a protective habitat at the water’s edge. The transformation of 107m of the 1970s seawall into a natural informal character, rockpools, salt marsh and living seawall tiles, integrates into the intertidal zone to encourage a diversity of marine life to help strengthen the river’s ecosystem.
