Dixon Park Escarpment Lookout offers sweeping views, elegant design, and a powerful connection to nature. Glascott Landscape and Civil, known for other iconic projects like Cockatoo Island and North Head Lookout, worked closely with the City of Parramatta to this new landmark destination.
Key Deliverables

Challenges
Glascott’s team identified some project issues early, providing solutions to bridge the gap between the expected vision and the site realities. This expertise ensured the project, once started, ran smoothly to the timeline and budget.
At the official opening, City of Parramatta Lord Mayor, Cr Martin Zaiter, describes the lookout as “a testament to collaborative innovation,” highlighting the seamless partnership between council and contractor. Together, they navigated the challenges of working within a sensitive escarpment environment, prioritising sustainability, safety, and aesthetic impact.
