Description:
Steeped in history, Cockatoo Island is an iconic world heritage site on Sydney Harbour. In 2003 works commenced transforming the former shipping yard, jail and defense site into a multi-purpose public space. Our work included salvaging and delicately repurposing the relics, large-scale remediation work, creating a new camping ground, walls, decking, and shared pathways.
We also re-constructed seawalls, fabricate and install custom steelworks, and delivered large-scale soft landscaping. This much-loved destination is visited by thousands of locals and tourists each year and is home to some of Sydney’s biggest events and festivals.
