Transforming Muriel Henchman Park: A Collaborative Upgrade for the Gold Coast
The Gold Coast community has long cherished Muriel Henchman Park as a hub for recreation and connection. Glascott Landscape & Civil is proud to have played a vital role in its recent transformation, delivered in collaboration with principal civil contractor, Ertech.
This iconic park has been reimagined into a functional and inviting space, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of the community now and into the future. The upgrades provide a safer, more efficient environment for boating and recreation while enhancing the park’s overall usability and aesthetic appeal.
Key Upgrades Include:
- A larger boat ramp to accommodate increasing demand.
- Improved parking facilities and upgraded pathways for accessibility.
- New shelters and landscaping to enhance the visitor experience.
The Glascott team delivered a wide range of hard and soft landscaping works to bring the vision to life, including:
- Hard Landscaping: Concrete seating walls, beach access stairs, pavements, access gates, rails, fencing, and signage (informational, regulatory, and interpretive).
- Amenities: New picnic tables, beach showers, and drinking fountains to enhance functionality and comfort for park users.
- Soft Landscaping: Comprehensive planting, bio-retention works, turfing, and ongoing maintenance to create a vibrant, sustainable green space.
